Not another Maya Dream That Turns Prosy whilst Shooting Coke with Sigmund Freud

She percolates,
+++ “Mmm… coffee smells dark.”
I drip into the first person,

“Com’ on, cup of jo. Fifteen more minutes; I ain’t nobody. The world doesn’t need me nor will it miss me. Maybe in a couple of hours, I’ll brew myself in the second person. That might perk me up enough to get out of bed; otherwise be a sunshine and lighten my snooze button. It’s cooking outside so it’s best I go back to sleep.”

She paces,
+++++“Let’s go for a walk.”
I lie into the second person,

“Com’ on, feet. Half a day more; you ain’t nobody. The world doesn’t need you nor will it miss you. Maybe tomorrow, you’ll crawl yourself in the third person. That might inch your way enough to get out of bed; otherwise be a ballerina and tippy-toe over your snooze button. Those dogs have dogged enough so it’s best you go back to sleep.”

She repeats,
+++++“Can we talk?”
I mute into the third person,

“Com’ on, raison d’etre. Three more weeks; Lee ain’t nobody. The world doesn’t need another Lee nor will it miss him. Maybe next month, Lee’ll cast himself in the fourth person. That might persuade Lee enough to get him out of bed; otherwise be a parrot and cuckoo into his snooze button. This Lee adores silence so it’s best he goes back to sleep.”

She exorcises,
+++++“Bye…, and may God help you.”
I deny the omnipresence of a fourth Person’s empty bed,

“Com’ on, eternity. Why expand, universe? When this Almighty dick, Himself, you know that “I am who am” doesn’t need anybody. Life cannot rise until these eyes blink it into existence. So there’s no cosmic reason for the Almighty Dick, you know that “I am who am” to get out of bed. So damn the snooze button of love. Gone are her whispers, falling arches or a cold cup of java; it’s best not to be awake at all.
